Aam Taateel is an industrious and talented group of 5 musicians based in Pakistan and USA, armed with a vision of reviving Urdu poetry and making music that bears the contradictions of the modern Pakistani socio-cultural milieu. They intend to do this by composing the poetry of modern Urdu poets. "Khudsar" comprises songs that have been composed around the poetry of Jaun Elia, Peerzada Salman, Waheed Noor and Yasra Rizvi. Their musical sensibilities are a unique fusion of Indian classical and Western influences.
